We’d like to help our paddlers understand and appreciate your park’s diverse natural and cultural history in both land areas of the park and as they paddle in the Silver River. We’d like to have a group of kayakers visit the park and paddle in the river. Our vision is to have one of your rangers teach them about the park in a series of short nature discussions as they stop for a rest while transporting their kayaks down the walk to the river put-in. We’d tote out boats, rest and learn, tote some more, and rest and learn, on our way down to the river. When we arrive at the river we’d like a different presentation about the river and what we can look for as we paddle up stream and then back down to Ray’s Wayside Park. Can you help us?
We’d like to do this on Sunday, July 13, 2008, but are open to other dates if July 13 does not work for you. |
