Atlantic Kayak Tours

Atlantic Kayak Tours is the largest and most experienced kayak company in the New York tri-state area, specializing on the Hudson River Valley. We offer over 75 different kayak tours and British Canoe Union (BCU) instructional programs from New Jersey to Cape Cod. Great River Outfitters

Great River Outfitters was founded by Stan and Ema Chladek in 1972 as a sea kayak company and retailer in the Detroit, Michigan area. Their lifelong interest in kayaking began more than forty years ago when they were gold medalists in C2 mixed team paddling at the 1965 ICK Whitewater World Championships in Austria. Stan and Ema are also the original organizers of what has become an annual event, the Great Lakes Sea Kayak Symposium. Stan Chladek and Frank Goodman, the founder of Valley Sea Kayaks have been friends and paddling companions for many years and have paddled together on several worldwide expeditions. Goodman is one of the world's best known kayak designers and originally began his kayak design career in order to create a sea kayak, fully outfitted for his expeditions. Stan and Ema retired from Great River Outfitters in 2004 and GRO was sold and relocated to Rhode Island. GRO will continue to be the exclusive importer and distributor of Valley Sea Kayaks and accessories and the GRO retail division is now operated by The Kayak Centre of Rhode Island.

Nigel Foster Designs

Nigel Foster is an international figure in Sea Kayaking, known for his writing, instruction, his symposium appearances and his kayak designs (he has to date designed six sea kayaks). He is a partner at Sweetwater Kayaks. He has written five books on paddling topics as well as many articles for magazines such as Sea Kayaker. His books include "Nigel Foster's Sea Kayaking" and "Nigel Foster's Surf Kayaking", his latest book "A Sea Kayaking Guide to Southern Florida", (all three published in USA by Globe Pequot Press) and "Kayaking, a Beginner's Guide", and "Open Canoe Technique" (both published in U.K. by Fernhurst Books).

The Anglesey Sea & Surf Centre was set up in 1980 by Nigel Dennis, the owner of Nigel Dennis Kayaks, who conducts kayaking courses in the warm hospitality of the Centre, located in an area of outstanding natural beauty on Holy Island off Anglesey, North Wales. The area offers magnificent rugged coastline with outlying islands, 400 foot cliffs, sea caves, arches and sandy beaches. The area is rich in marine wildlife, including many species of sea birds and seals. The main tidal stream flows around the surrounding coastline, providing excellent training grounds for sea kayakers who want to increase their skills from intermediate to advanced level.

Terra Santa Kayak Expeditions

Terra Santa Kayak Expeditions, located in Israel , was founded by Omer Singer and Saggi Nechushtan, both veterans of numerous kayak expeditions and certified B.C.U. (British Canoe Union) instructors.
